Slim Radio
The Radio is the beating heart of our community.
We create concerts, festivals, magazines, radio and videos.
There is no profit incentive, so most of our stuff is free.
We have over 70 volunteers working in many different teams, all supporting each other to no end, and making lots of mistakes along the way.
The radio is an ever-evolving community, with new faces and shapes taking place every year.
The radio is run by a Director, who manages a group of 6 team leaders (The Board).
Each Board Member manages a team of 7 creatives.
Every Team Member has a specific role.
Each Team has a special creative focus:
Events Team
Broadcasting Team
Social Media Team
Visuals Team
Audio Team
Writing Team
The teams all work together.
The specialised roles allow us to create a lot of amazing stuff with very little money.
It’s only possible because our Team Members commit to their job and take it seriously
