    • Our course is taught from a place of love for our students and community

    • We are teaching Dutch with a lot of humour, culture, and conversation

    • Whilst we are fun, we also create a strict learning environment with no laptops, lots of interaction, and focus on self study

    • Our classes focus heavily on practicing conversation, and navigating common situations.

      • Each class is roughly divided into 4 parts:

        • Culture (10 mins)

        • Vocab/grammar (20 mins)

        • Pop quiz (15 mins)

        • Interactive exercises (55 mins)

      • We supplement the lessons with different types of daily homework (approx 30 - 45 mins per day), such as…

        • Quizzes on our Slim Dutch App

        • Voicenote speaking exercises we send over Whatsapp

        • Children’s book reports

        • ‘Real life challenge’ videos

    • Instead of a final exam we have a competition to determine who spreek de best Nederlands

      • Along with this we have a graduation ceremony and closing party (aka DE GRAND FINALE TOURNAMENET COMPETITION)

    • Our classes are all in-person and taught in Amsterdam at Kropaarstraat 12

    • Upon completion of course, each student receives an official ‘Slim Dutch - Course Completion’ certificate

    • In order to receive this certificate students must attend a minimum of 7/9 classes and complete all assignments.

    • Do you work for a large company? You may be able to get the cost covered with your education budget

  • We focus on confidence speaking.

    We normally say that if you are confident having a basic chat in Dutch (1 - 2 min) then you are ready for A2 course. If you can have longer chats (2 - 5 min) then you are ready for B1.

    You’ll laugh, talk, play, and connect—with teachers and classmates alike. No laptops, just people. We keep it social, interactive, and gezellig. And yes, drinks are on us.

    Whilst we are fun, we also create a strict learning environment. Students must complete their homework and attend classes, otherwise they do not get their certificate!

    Each course runs for 5 or 9 weeks, with classes taking place in the evenings.

    Always from 19:30 - 21:30, super simple.

    And don’t miss the GFTC (Grand Final Tournament Competition): our legendary final event (usually on Saturdays) where students from all levels come together for one big Dutch-speaking showdown.

    There’s a diploma, friendly competition, closing party, and lots of gezelligheid.

  • The GFTC (Grand Finale Tournament Competition) is the big event we have at the end of every Slim Dutch course.

    We pit classes against each other to determine who speaks de beste nederlands.

    After this we have a graduation ceremony and closing party. Super gezellig xd
