Starting in March

    • Our course is taught from a place of love for our students and community

    • We are teaching Dutch with a lot of humour, culture, and conversation

    • Whilst we are fun, we also create a strict learning environment with no laptops, lots of interaction, and focus on self study

    • Starts around A2 - B1 and finishes around B2

    • Each class is divided into 3 parts: vocab/grammar, pop quiz & interactive exercises

    • Instead of a final exam we have a competition to determine who spreek de best Nederlands

    • Along with this we have a graduation ceremony and closing party (GRAND FINALE)

    • Our classes are all in-person and taught in Amsterdam at Kropaarstraat 12

    • Upon completion of course, each student receives an Official Slim Dutch Beginners Certificate

    • Do you work for a large company? You may be able to get the cost covered with your education budget

  • We focus on confidence speaking.

    We normally say that if you are confident having a basic chat in Dutch (1 - 2 min) then you are ready for our intermediate curs. If you can have longer chats (2 - 5 min) then you are ready for advanced.

    If not we recommend beginner.

    Also, our beginner curs is more focused on cultuur and making you passionate about learning Dutch.

    Each course runs for 5 or 9 weeks, with classes taking place in the evenings.
    Exact days and times depend on the group—but don’t worry, you’ll get all the details when you sign up.

  • Definitely. Slim Dutch is a part of Slim Radio—so you’re always welcome at any of the radio’s events. Think music, culture, good vibes. Just check out the Radio page for what’s coming up.

    And don’t miss the GFTC (Grand Final Tournament Competition): our legendary final event (usually on Saturdays) where students from all levels come together for one big Dutch-speaking showdown. There’s a diploma, friendly competition, and lots of gezelligheid.

  • The GFTC (Grand Finale Tournament Competition) is the big event we have at the end of every Slim Dutch course. We pit classes against each other to determine who speaks de beste nederlands. After this we have a graduation ceremony and closing party. Super gezellig xd
